Dr. Jennifer Camas is the CMO at A PLUS Family HealthCare. With 20 years of experience, she specializes in Med/Peds, offering comprehensive care for all ages. Committed to tech-enhanced, patient-centered healthcare, she brings innovation to every appointment.

Ashley James

Mental health care, ages 3 to senior.

Ashley James specializes in a wide range of mental health conditions, from anxiety and depression to more complex disorders. Skilled in medication management and lab testing, she treats patients from age 3 to geriatrics. Offering telehealth and post-hospitalization follow-ups, Ashley also provides referrals for autism evaluation and counseling.

Brittany Sowders specializes in Family Practice, acute care, and Well Women’s exams, serving patients of all ages. Certified in FMCSA CDL examinations, she offers a range of in-office procedures including suturing, mole removal, and wound care. Jerrina Gusler, APRN, began her career as a RN in 1991 with a strong focus in psychiatry and became a PMHNP in 2014 after earning her MSN in Psychiatric Mental Health. Her extensive experience supports compassionate, quality care, and she is excited to serve patients at the Sonora office. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, cooking, and roller skating.

Colby is an Edmonson County native and WKU graduate with more than 20 years of healthcare experience. He has cared for patients across the ER, orthopedics, and cardiac care and now provides family medicine, DOT physicals, and treatment for acute injuries. Returning home lets him give back to the community he loves.

Amy Bashaw, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified through Western Kentucky University. Specializing in care for all ages, Amy brings a compassionate approach to her practice. When not treating patients, she volunteers with Team Rubicon and enjoys spending time with her family and retired military working dogs.

Amy is an Elizabethtown native and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience focused on preventative care. She holds nursing degrees from UK and WKU, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University, and certification from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Outside work, she enjoys life on her family farm, gardening, hiking, and reading.

Julie Hampton

13+ years focused on patient-centered care.

Julie Hampton is a South Central Kentucky native and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 13 years of experience in maternal-newborn care, NICU, nursing education, and chronic pain management. She spent eight years teaching nursing students before earning her Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Eastern Kentucky University in May 2025 and focuses on compassionate, patient-centered care for families. Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, watching her daughters dance, and caring for dogs Moxie and Archie and turtle, Tally.

Tameron Shaw

Family NP with wound care experience.

Tameron has been a nurse since 1986 and a nurse practitioner since 2009, with experience in med-surg, surgery, home health, family medicine, addiction care, and acute care. She earned her ADN in 1990, completed Vanderbilt’s Surgical Program for graduate nurses, later completed Emory University’s Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing program, and attended Spalding University’s family medicine program. She is happy to make A Plus Family HealthCare her new home and looks forward to caring for families while also supporting wound care, hepatitis care, and addiction care services.
